Her medical degree was obtained from Mount Sinai School of Medicine. She undertook her residency at Montefiore Medical Center, linked to Albert Einstein College of Medicine, and continued her specialization in Endocrinology, Metabolism, Bone Disease, and Nutrition at Mount Sinai Medical Center.
Dr. Gillian has frequently appeared in media discussing endocrinology, nutrition, and her experiences starting a family during her medical education. Originally from Phoenix, Arizona, Gillian studied ballet, theater, and vocal performance. Though no longer performing, she is a strong advocate for arts education and has served on the Board of Directors of Notes in Motion/Amanda Selwyn Dance. She resides Near Queens, New York with her husband and their four children.
